Restaurant Tasso is established in the beautifully restored Koninklijk Pakhuis (Royal Warehouse) on the site of Tour & Taxis. Named after the founder of the European postal services, Francesco Tasso of Italy (1450-1517). He was a descendant of the famous “Von Thurn und Taxis” family and was appointed captain and master of the post by Philip the Fair in 1501.
